Help us make a difference after-school!

Join us on December 7th at 7PM in Wilson 102 to learn about how to get involved with Learning Exchange starting next semester and hear about how you can contribute to some of the awesome after-school work Citizen Schools is doing throughout the country!  The application to join Learning Exchange will go live following the info session.  You won’t want to miss this exciting event!

Halfway

We’re now halfway through the Fall 2011 Learning Exchange implementation at DelSesto Middle School, and we’ve come a long way from where we were two months ago. We’ve increased our number of Brown student volunteers from 2 to 16, tripled our program length from last semester, reached three times as many students, and just completed our eighth class. We’ve got seventh graders programming interactive mazes, eighth graders sampling instrumentals and beat-matching them to acapellas, and newly-recruited sixth graders itching to get their hands on the laptops.

Now that we’ve strengthened our on-the-ground presence, we’re revamping our web presence to match it. We’ll soon be posting photos, project samples, lesson plans, and worksheets. You can also follow us on Twitter (@learningexch) to stay updated on exciting trends in education technology and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.

Check back soon!

All the best,
Amit and Nabeel
